Kostoroski named circulation director

Sound Publishing Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of James Kostoroski as Circulation Director of Sound Publications East. Mr. Kostoroski will be assuming his responsibilities as of Monday, June 1st, 2009.
James Kostoroski started his newspaper career at the Watertown Daily Times (Johnson Newspaper Corporation) in April 1995. James quickly advanced to a store collector in December 2005 and then became a circulation assistant.
In January 2000, Mr. Kostoroski joined the Poughkeepsie Journal (Gannett Corp.) in Poughkeepsie, NY. as their District Sales Manager.
After four years with the Journal, James moved to the Pacific Northwest and was hired by the King County Journal in Bellevue, Washington. In January 2007, he advanced to Home Delivery Manager and was part of the distribution team that transitioned the Reporter Newspaper Group to carrier delivery.
In the summer of 2007, James took advantage of an opportunity to move back to the East coast to Danbury, Connecticut to serve as the Circulation Operations Manager for The News-Times (Hearst Corporation).
Sound Publishing, Inc. is the largest publisher of community and suburban newspapers in Washington and is also one of the area’s largest commercial web printers. The company operates 30 community and suburban newspapers, two monthly business journals, and 18 Little Nickel and Nickel Ads weekly shoppers throughout Washington and Oregon. Sound also operates web printing facilities in Everett and Bainbridge Island and publishes two editions of the Northwest Navigator for the U.S. Navy.
