Shaw appointed Publisher at Snoqualmie Valley Record

Josh O’Connor, Vice President Operations, Sound Publishing East is pleased to announce the appointment of William G. A. Shaw as Publisher of the Snoqualmie Valley Record. Mr. Shaw will assume responsibility of the Record as of Monday, October 20th, 2008.

Mr. Shaw has proven himself as a leader with strong entrepreneurial skills that will help build on the solid growth the Record has experienced this past decade.

Bill has had a professional focus on local retail, major, national and real estate advertising sales since 1987. Since 2002 he has been special projects manager for Horvitz Newspapers and for Sound Publishing Inc. since 2006.

On his new position as Publisher, Shaw states, “The Snoqualmie Valley is as beautiful and dynamic a place as it is a great community to live, play, work and do business in. I’m honored and thrilled to be a part of a newspaper that for 95 years has reflected and communicated the unique people, events and issues that continue to make ‘the Valley of the ‘S·dukwalbixw’ such a very special place.”

Living on Squak Mountain in Issaquah for over 25 years, Shaw and his wife Mary Beth Haggerty-Shaw have two children: Liam, 23 and Mora, 20.
