Bellevue is the largest city on Seattle’s Eastside and the 15th wealthiest in the state. It is renowned for its culture, world class shopping, museums and ethnic diversity. This city of 46,000 households remains essentially suburban in character even though it has undergone rapid population growth and sports a skyline of skyscrapers more typical of metropolitan city. Downtown Bellevue is on the leading edge of a development boom which promises the construction of several new high-rises and other projects for office, residential, and retail space.
