Sound Publishing, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Wendy Geldien as publisher of the Seattle Weekly. Wendy assumed her new publishing responsibilities Feb. 4.
Wendy moved to Seattle in 1993 and began work at Seattle Downtown News.
At the end of 1993, Wendy began work at The Rocket Magazine, a Seattle music magazine. She served as marketing director from 1995 to 1997 and as the advertising/marketing director from 1997 to 2000.
Wendy began work at Seattle Weekly as the club advertising representative in 2001. Beginning in 2002 she worked in various capacities for the Seattle Weekly including ad manager, the arts and entertainment ad manager, marketing director, ad director and associate publisher.
