Are you ready for an exciting career with your community newspaper? Sound Publishing Inc. is looking for a customer service-oriented person with great people skills to answer incoming phone calls and walk-in inquiries, order office supplies, and process classified advertising as needed at our Peninsula Daily News office.

This position will assist and support the leadership team, advertising sales consultants, circulation and editorial staff as needed; handle petty cash for the office and make deposits as instructed. This is a FT position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior office or administration experience
  • Computer-proficient in database and spreadsheet software programs
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to multitask in a fast changing, sometimes chaotic, environment
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and possess good problem-solving skills
  • Must be team-oriented
  • Essential to this position is flexibility, excellent organizational and time-management skills; and the ability to work independently.
