The Daily Herald in Everett, WA., is seeking a freelance reporter or
reporters to increase our coverage of social justice and equity issues
in Snohomish County.
We are looking for reliable candidates with a demonstrated ability to
produce quality in-depth stories on a regular basis. We want someone
who has creative ideas, can identify good developing stories and
collaborate with our staff.
An ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with
diverse views and backgrounds and will have demonstrated experience
working in communities of color and other under-represented groups and
identities. We need someone willing to become familiar with Snohomish
County and get more deeply embedded in the community to better
understand local issues.
Compensation is competitive and negotiable based on the quality and
experience of the selected candidate and the frequency and complexity
of the stories they can provide.
