Sound is pleased to announce, effective March 31st, Katie Morgan as National Account Manager for Sound Publishing Inc.’s National/Regional Sales Department. Katie will be replacing Larry Lark.

Katie worked her way up at the Home Depot over 9 years, starting as a Marketing Artist covering 9 States with $4.5 billion annual sales, later transitioning to Visual Merchandise Manager, managing 133 grand opening and capital projects encompassing 17 States and 2 Canadian Provinces with $14.7 billion annual sales. When the closure of the regional offices occurred, Home Depot retained Katie as a vendor for the Canadian Division to manage 120 more GOs and capital projects. In addition, she created 4 lingual sign packages, sourced the production locally and orchestrated shipping logistics within Canada (saving Home Depot Canada over $3 million in shipping annually). As well, she worked with Big Advertising to build a digital asset management system and kept ownership of the files, encouraging print vendors to be highly competitive.

Katie came to us working in the marketing capacity. But after five years at Sound she accidentally discovered she could sell, and we accidentally found a National Account Manager. Hopelessly over-competitive, Katie brings a feisty “play to win” attitude to her work. We are excited to embrace all of her contributions.

Speaking of contributions, Katie thinks globally as well, giving her time to Habitat for Humanity. She has participated in Global Village builds, 2 in Thailand post Tsunami and 2 in Cambodia of which one was housing for people displaced by a Chinese garment factory and the other a well and infrastructure.

Please join us in congratulating Katie on this new grand adventure she’s about to embark on!
