Michael (Mike) Gates is Sound Publishing’s new Controller, President Gloria Fletcher announced today. Gates will be based at Sound’s Everett, WA printing facility.
Gates is a CPA and comes to Sound with experience in all facets of financial and accounting management. He has been the Controller with Pioneer Cable Contractors in Everett since 2008 and acted as the financial business partner to the owner and president of that privately held company.
Prior to Pioneer, Gates served as Senior Controller with Hertz Equipment Rental for 10 years, and was responsible for all accounting functions including analysis and reporting. At Hertz, he worked within a centralized administrative staff overseeing 32 locations in Washington and Oregon.
Mike and his wife, Michele, live in Snohomish with two sons, Evan, 18 and Logan, 15.
